It is now complete: coworking giants “WeWork” are opening an office hotel in Urban Escape. The new premises will have space for over 1,000 members.
American company WeWork is usually described as the Airbnb for office spaces. The company is the world’s largest in the coworking sector and was one of the USA’s highest rated start-ups in 2017, according to Business Insider.
WeWork will now take up position in Urban Escape at Trollhättan 29, with the property address Malmskillnadsgatan 32. Here entrepreneurs, start-ups and freelancers will be able to share ideas and experiences with each other, both in shared office spaces and in individual offices for larger groups. Everything will of course be close to the Urban Escape quarter’s central city location and a wide range of meetings, lunches, training possibilities, shopping and events.
“WeWork is a global company with a strong local presence. Our Stockholm team will develop world-class office spaces through a combination of solid local knowledge and lessons learned from our over 270 office areas around the world”, says Wybo Wijnbergen, Northern European Manager, WeWork.
“I am very happy that WeWork is coming to Stockholm and is choosing Urban Escape. This is confirmation that Stockholm and our district holds its own in international competition”, says Mats Hederos, CEO, AMF Fastigheter.
“With WeWork, we are completing the circle and declaring that we have Sweden’s most interesting and dynamic tenants”, says Niklas Haglund, Project Manager, Urban Escape.
WeWork’s first Swedish office will open on Brunkebergstorg in the summer of 2019. Read more about WeWork and membership at www.wework.com.
